New Vital Page to Improve Customer Experience
Created and implemented new “Home Gym Packages” page, which contained 9 new product pages, to help customers better choose the best package for themselves.
The Problem
We got large influxes of customer calls, asking for suggestions about which products to purchase together; they all wanted to start their home gyms. Customers weren’t sure which attachments would latch onto which racks, and didn’t understand the bare essentials that are best to get when starting workouts at home.
The Research
Our competitors had packages (multiple gym equipment products combined into one order), so we strongly considered that as an option.
We reviewed data, from both our own orders, in addition to what our competitors had on their websites, and determined that the best home-gym packages stemmed from a rack, a bench, a barbell, and full set of plates.
The Solution
Created brand new webpage, with 9 main packages. Each package contained a rack, a bench, an Olympic barbell, a full set of weight plates, a pair of barbell collars, and a barbell foam pad.
Note: We included the two barbell add-ons because it was already a popular addition for our customers’ orders.
A few packages had some additional attachments, and this was based on previous order data.
Each of our 9 packages had variants, and these were with regards to different plate sets (different number of plate sets - as in sets of 230 lb, 340 lb, or 260 lb, or different plates - as in grip plates or bumper plates).
The Results
After creating these 9 different packages, and adding them to the newly created header tab, we got 40% less customer calls with the same questions about how to bundle up products, and we had an increase in online sales by 15%.
